Speaker: Will Galkin - Romans 5:17 reads, "For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus."This entire passage represents the story of two men and the people they represent. The disobedience of the first man Adam condemned mankind to sin and death. The obedience of Jesus brought justification and life to those who believe. The results are conveyed to us by nature of our union with Adam, on the one hand, and with Jesus Christ, on the other. Thankfully, the finished work of Jesus Christ allows God’s grace to reign over the sin and death that Adam condemned us with through his disobedience.
