Speaker: Lukus Counterman - John 11-12 form the conclusion of Jesus’ public ministry. He is done speaking publically, and his last public acts will sufficiently show who he is and what he’s about. The healing of Lazarus is the sixth sign in the gospel account which serves as a clear demonstration of the truth that Jesus is the Son of God who gives life. In this miracle, the people receive further visible evidence of Jesus’ invisible nature. He is the resurrection and the life, the one who has defeated death and who uses the sufferings of sin for his good purposes and glory.
