Passage: Deuteronomy 27:1-29:1 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: Relationship & Responsibility - Deuteronomy
Speaker: Lukus Counterman - As we move into the final section of Deuteronomy, Moses is nearing the end of his life and will soon die. He has functioned as the covenant mediator from the receipt of God’s word at Mount Sinai to its repetition on the plains of Moab. But now Moses was going to pass off the scene and the people of Israel needed to learn to trust God for themselves. They needed to embrace what it means to live in covenant with God. And that is what we will explore together in Deuteronomy 27:1-29:1. Though we are New Covenant people, there are things we can learn from this Old Covenant time. May the Lord help us embrace what it means to live in a covenantal relationship with him.
