Passage: Acts 14 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: The Book of Acts: Neighbors & Nations

Speaker: Lukus Counterman - In Acts 14 we read final installment of Paul’s first missionary journey. He visits more cities, stops in some synagogues, and shares the gospel with various people. Along the way he’s driven out of town, receives death threats, and is pummeled with stones because of his gospel ministry. But at the end of the day, Paul felt compelled to preach the good news even if it caused division, even if the audiences were varied, all so that churches could be established. In the wake of Paul’s travels were new communities of faith, new bodies of believers assembling in the name of Jesus bearing witness to his great salvation. Now, we can give our lives to a great many things, but what could be more worthwhile than giving ourselves to Christ’s body the church? May the Lord extend his name and fame through us!
