Passage: Revelation 1:4-18 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: Easter at Gospel Grace
Speaker: Lukus Counterman - If we wish to measure the magnitude of our sin against God, it can be found in the weight he placed in the scales to out-balance it and bring us back to him. Our bondage was so deep, our debt was so large, our shameful path was so trodden, that freedom seemed like a dream, a mirage in the distance. But God put all our sin on one side of the scale and he poured out the blood of his only Son, Jesus on the other. And even though our sin was abounding, his love and grace were much more abounding. From the cross, Jesus spent three nights in the tomb and then up from the grave he arose as the Living One forevermore offering life and light to all who believe. This Jesus gives meaning to our origins, purpose to our lives, and hope to our destiny. He’s the first and the last and all of life is framed around him. So, what can we do except bow before him and submit to the risen Lord this Easter.
