Speaker: Lukus Counterman - There are so many things that threaten to divide God’s people. And though sometimes separation from theological error is necessary, disunity is often related to non-essentials. Some people in the church prefer this brand of music, or that style of preaching. One group feels strongly about this program, while another embraces something different. Soon the body of Christ is fragmented, and God’s intended picture of unity is marred. So, what is powerful enough to hold the diverse people of God together? What is strong enough to fuse various folks into a single family? What we will find as we investigate 1 Corinthians 1:10-17 is that the gospel unifies the church, and the cross squelches division. May the Lord teach us how to be unified because we’ve identified with the crucified Christ.
