Passage: Psalm 27 Speaker: Tim Chapman Series: Summer in the Psalms
Speaker: Tim Chapman - One of the most persistent questions in the human heart is this: what do I hold on to when I’m inclined to fear? To answer that question, the psalmist, David, points us to three realities: God, the gospel, and his grace. He wants us to know and feel and believe that these are enough to allow us to live without fear every day of our lives. Our struggle is to live with our hearts desiring “one thing,” and that is to abide in God’s presence where God, the gospel, and grace are enough for us. We want to be able to say, like David, in verse 13, “I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living,” and mean it enough to wait on the Lord with courage and joy.
