Passage: Deuteronomy 31:30-32:47 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: Relationship & Responsibility - Deuteronomy
Speaker: Lukus Counterman - The Song of Moses, found in Deuteronomy 32, was designed to be a witness of God’s character, his plan for his people, and the consequences of breaking the covenant. It was meant to serve as a memory jogger of sorts. If the people strayed from the Lord and got lost in idolatry, their children would remind them of God’s ways through the echoes of this song. As we prepare to investigate the text, let’s notice the faithfulness of God and admit the fickleness of our hearts. Let’s acknowledge God’s just judgement but hope in future and final restoration. Ask the Lord to bring you to the end of yourself and your resources so that He is your all in all. May the Lord teach us as we look at this ancient hymn together.
