Passage: Philippians 3:1-11 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: Open House
Speaker: Lukus Counterman - We live in one of the most religious states in America, and yet there are so many who feel distant from Christ. They strive and struggle to keep doctrines and covenants but feel no relational connect to the Lord. Paul understood religion. He spent the first half of his life zealously pursuing it. But in the end, he counted it all as rubbish because what he really wanted was to know Jesus. In a city peppered with chapels and temples perhaps the message that needs to reverberate across our valley is, “Lose religion and choose a relationship with Christ.” The gospel is the good news that we can have a right relationship with God through the death and resurrection of Jesus. May the Lord teach us that truth as we study Philippians 3:1-11.
