Passage: Isaiah 25:1-12 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: Standalone Messages
Speaker: Lukus Counterman - This chapter is a song of praise to the Lord from the believing remnant. It exposes the futility of walled cities as a source of protection, and points people to the Lord as their refuge and strength. God cares for his own in times of trial and judgment. Just as he kept Noah and his family alive through the flood, and guarded Israel when judgment fell on Egypt, so God will preserve a faithful remnant in the “day of the Lord.” This is the Lord who saves! So, we are called to patiently trust and confidently wait for him. We are called to “be glad and rejoice in his salvation” (Is 25:9). May the Lord fill our hearts with such praise this morning.
