Church History

What happened after the New Testament was written? Some say there were many different forms of early Christianity, and what we see now is a result of the “survival of the fittest.” In other words, today’s church is a result of power and influence. Others say that true, full Christianity was lost after the apostles died. Still others point to evil done in the name of Christ as proof that Christianity is false. In this class, we’ll work from the belief that God is king over all of history—the good, the bad, and the ugly. We’ll tell some of the most powerful stories from the last 2,000 years, and at every step we’ll see that God is Faithful Then, Faithful Now.
