Technology is always changing. Over the past 20 years, maybe faster than ever. Right in your pocket is the power to read world news, deliver food to your home, facetime old friends, and mindlessly scroll through trending videos. The physical and digital worlds blend more day by day, and how did A.I. explode out of nowhere?
While technology is changing, God and his Word are not. However, more than ever, Christians must think biblically about their use of modern technology. While harnessing its many benefits, Christians must also think critically about the dangers, limitations, and impacts of technology as it relates to our souls. In this class, we’ll look at topics including the smartphone, social media, the digital world, A.I., and raising kids in the digital age. Our goal will be to think critically about the technology around us while discerning the heart issues technology reveals within us.
